WORK: Travel Route Creation and Promotion
In 2023, under contract with the Kyushu Tourism Organization, we formed and developed routes and content for the Kyushu version of the “Golden Route” project. This initiative involved creating four routes encompassing at least three prefectures across Kyushu, making it a year filled with extensive travel throughout the region.
We themed the four routes as follows: 1) Cities & Samurai, which takes you through Fukuoka, Kumamoto, and Kagoshima on the Kyushu Shinkansen to experience city life and samurai culture; 2) Food & Tradition, which explores the cultural and culinary fusion of Fukuoka, Saga, and Nagasaki in western Kyushu; 3) Spirit of Nature, which focuses on the natural beauty and spirituality of Oita and Miyazaki; and 4) Living Nature, which incorporates the magnificent natural landscapes of Yakushima and Unzen.
The Wall Street Journal featured Kyushu as the only region of Japan in its “The 10 Best Places to Visit in 2024”, highlighting the routes we developed.
